A windy day at Ardnamurchan Lighthouse

Ardnamurchan lighthouse

It was so windy when we visited Ardnamurchan lighthouse — the most westerly point on mainland UK — that the fog horn was humming as the stiff onshore breeze blasted the open end of its cone. Standing still for long enough to capture even a short exposure was almost impossible. I had to steady my camera on the wall.
